ashley nortman

Ashley Nortman is a comics maker in the San Francisco bay area. During her undergraduate studies at San Francisco State University, she conducted formal research into representations of sound in comics as a Marcus Undergraduate Research Fellow. She continued and applied this work with a comic on marine mammal acoustics as a recipient of the Maxwell Hanrahan Scientific Illustration Grant. Currently, she is a Creative Lead with AACares and the College of Ethnic Studies at San Francisco State University.
